I tried not to fall short
of your expectations.
But how can you ask me
to climb a mountain
with only my bare
hands and feet?
I tried, I really did.
I climbed until my fingers
were bloody and my
feet bruised. Until my
face stung from frostbite
and my body lost all feeling
except for pain.
Yet I still lost my grip
on the icy rocks
and fell on my face,
breaking damn near
every bone in my body.
Don’t worry darling,
just for you, I will
wake up and
try again tomorrow
and I won’t stop
until it kills me.

"Love is just a word until you find someone who gives it a definition."

First poem on here that has sincerely made my cry. Not weep, just that overwhelming feeling of emotion that seems to seep out.

This is truly beautiful.
