To the times when we were able to talk about anything?
When we were together 24/7?
The times when all we did was laugh and talk,
I miss those times.

To our weekly sleepovers?
From shopping together,
And crying on each others shoulders?
We were practically sisters.
What changed?

What happened…
To those picture perfect moments?
Where we’d laugh and laugh and never stop.
We were best friends,
And now we’re on our own different paths.
I miss what used to be us.

Now we see each other,
Just a smile and a “Hi” exchanged,
I look back and remember,
The times we used to have.

But I still treat you like a close friend,
And you treat me like yours,
So things may not be the same,
But we’ll always be best friends at heart.
