The Artist
Girl aglow with fanciful dreaming
Hungry for lives she has yet lived
Molds clay out of shapes of her being
Into artwork no one can forget
She sleeps for a thousand hours
Hungry for the energy which she feels deprived
Only to wake thirsty for passion
Which mere energy can never provide
Artwork as she finds, will neither satisfy
And still she’s left dreaming of dreaming
For other lives, she tries in vain to remember
What was the true point of her apathy
No more silence she says
From dire wantings of her swiftly numbing heart
Anger forces her fists to wreck glass,
While the crystals reflecting sparkles, shoot apart
Sinking into thoughts, her painful past
Her petty heartaches form modern art
Throwing paints and food products at the nearby wall
The worst times, as you see
Create the most timeless art of all.
