I Think Of You
Every day I think of you
You slowly cross my mind
Every night when I close my eyes
I wonder if you're doing alright
And every time I think about
How things used to be
I see your smile and I wonder
Are you thinking of me
Sometimes I think of us
And all the memories we left
Every soft kiss, every painful cry
Every promise we never kept
I think about you when I'm alone
Wondering if you miss me
A brave tear rolls down my cheek
The spot where you last kissed me
But every time I think of you
I know it's all in my head
And every time I see you now
It's my heart saying I'm not dead
I think of you and I see her
Wrapped in your warm arms
And I think of me sitting here alone
Silently wishing in the dark
I think to myself why must I think
Of you every night and day
Why did things turn out this bad
Why did I have to lose you this way
I think of you and I see someone
Who wanted to love this girl
He told her she was beautiful
And he was her whole world
I think of you today right now
Of someone I thought I knew
A boy who I thought I loved
But you could never love me true
I think of you as a memory
One I wish I could forget
I think of you to remind myself
I can't give up on love just yet
I think of you to prove something
That I am stronger than I was before
I think of you to show the world
I'm no longer on the floor
When I see our old hang outs
I have to stop and stare
I laugh a little cause it's so
funny
It's like you were never there
When I look at pictures of us
I have to skim through them fast
You looked so happy there with me
But now that's in the past
But when I catch myself
Starting to think of me and you
I bring back the heartbreaking memories
The ones that hurt you too
When I think of you
I don't see hearts or stars
All I see is the hurt you left me
The heartache the tears the scars
But every day I still think of you
And every time you cross my mind
I hope you are doing alright with her
Because without you I'm just fine
