The lack of focus when writing a research paper amuses me
I have at least four windows open on my desktop
And the likelihood of me reading any article is about one in a million.
It’s Friday
Tomorrow is SAT day
And prom night
And I’m so exhausted.
The likelihood of me continuing this paper
(That I really do need to write)
Is about one in a billion
How is it, then, that I have focus enough to write a poem?
I guess poetry can write itself,
But research takes time
And explicit attention.
I have a feeling that today won't be very productive...
