Missed By Me

Sitting alone on the floor
Next to my bed,
I realized I was only missed by me.
No one else cared that I was gone,
No one else noticed
The day went on
In it’s normal fashion.
People continued their usual routine
Nothing else was affected
Nothing else was changed
Not a tear dropped from another eye
Not a smile erased.
When I was to return
No one would know or even care,
Because the truth be told
I was only missed by me.
