Sweet Calamity
Deceiving faces
True identities revealed
Making it clear to see
Where I stand in this world
The view destroys me mentally
Burns my soul from the sight of mistrust
And blocking me from the ones
Who cause just pain
And I shake my head in disbelief
At the ones who don’t know me
Yet claim to be true friends
And I smile at the ones that I feel
Belong in my heart
And I ignore the guy
With the sly smile
And the sweet talking words
I know I’m not missing out
Because even though I told him I loved him
He wouldn’t realize the struggle in my voice
Or that when he made me smile it meant more
But it’s too late to clean those cloudy eyes darling
Because that just means it wasn’t meant to be
My world has come to reality
And it has now been placed before me
A beautiful nightmare
A wonderful catastrophe
Sweet calamity…
