I just can’t pick up the pieces
Off the floor
You hurt me, intentionally
Left my heart,

With nothing but pain
I never knew you, I never will
You didn’t know me
Why me?

Was it because I am weak?
Was I a random choice
Out of a crowd?

Nothing major she said
She knows nothing
It wasn’t alright
It wasn’t my fault
I don’t have to forgive myself

I feel hurt, empty
I couldn’t stop you
You had mastered subtle cruelty
But not enough for me to not feel the pain
I hate that vicious smile
The grin of pleasure as you walked away
Leaving me
I lost control
You still hold sway
Over my life
abuse
