When You Went to Heaven
I miss your face,
I miss your smile,
I miss your laugh,
I miss our singing sessions while we ride to the gas station.
You took half my heart with you,
When you took a visit to heaven
And never came back to return it to me.
It feels like I might burst like a dam and all the tears i've been holding back for you will come pouring out,
flooding my world,
drowning my heart in greif.
When you went to heaven
My childs mind foolishly lost,
The most preacious of preacious memories of you.
I can hardly recall your face without a picture.
I look at a picture and thank god that if my memory fails me i still have them.
Ocassionally I look at a picture with our smiling faces and cannot remember the reasons,
the reasons for being so happy.
When you went to heaven,
I wished to go too.
But now I know i hve to wait until,
Until it is my time.
So until then,
Goodbye.
See you in heaven daddy.
