Wind hustles by the side of the house
while she hides inside scared like a mouse.
Never again she told herself last time
but that slipped away like a drop of a dime.
He comes back in the room
stumbling like a big bafoon.
From here she can tell that whiskeys done it
kept that angry fire in him lit.
Every time he lifts his meaty arm
panic races through her, like an alarm.
Its then that she decide
that this is it, there is no more time to hide.
Bolting through the door, she runs as fast as she can
He might catch her if he wasn't such a drunken man.
Bright red blood streaming down her face,
she'll never go back to that wretched place
