Great Grandfather
You were here yesterday,
But are gone today.
As I‘m sure you knew,
You were loved by everyone,
And all of us will miss you.
I’ll always remember the pool,
Were we were all taught to swim.
I’ll remember all the times in your gardens,
But most of all,
I’ll remember, all the strength you had.
You carried many a name.
Son, brother, and husband,
Uncle, father, and grandfather.
To me, it was great-grandfather,
But to everyone else a friend.
You will always be remembered,
As a strong, loving man,
You were an inspiration to me,
And to us all.
