Everything makes sense if you think too much about it.

On a typically beautiful summer day
I wave my magic wand
summon all clouds to hide
every patch of blue.

I call to the winds that carry the smell to me
the heaven that clouds my senses
plays hide and seek with me
do you smell it?
Does it play havoc with your heartbeat,
like the scent of a lover?
Do you hear the windchimes
the music being brought back to earth?
Floating on the mists of some world unknown
does the proximity of the storm
bring a smile to your face?
Does it...does it enthrall you?
Hold you spellbound?

There is a storm brewing in my heart
as I smile and smile and smile.
There is something
just waiting to explode in me.
There is an end to my control
there is a relief in that
there is a war cry building up
in the howling winds.

And as I peer, peer out into rain
falling hard and fast and loud
somehow, somehow I register
a silence
So deep, so meaningful
A peace
eternal, elusive.

The outside is a piece of me
I am a mere fraction of it.

Does it bring back memories?
Of tears and laughter alike
Does it bring back life?
Does it make you feel human
and mortal
and so so emotional
unwary as much as you're being cautious
silly, really, for trying
to save yourself
from what you can't see?

I want to be human
so free, free me.
I want the rain on my skin
drenched to the bone.

And there I am
hiding behind another black umbrella
walking down the street.
You don't see me any more.
