Open Eyes
You held my hand
And made my day
Our lips would touch
And then I'd sway
How hard I fell
For those brilliant eyes
I believed all your charm
All your thousands of lies
You held on to me
Like a dog on a leash
Wanting people to think
We were truly steady
Though your well kept secret
Was burning like Hell
And so came the day
That the truth would prevail
When my ears reached the news
That you had an affair
I forced my heart
To act completely unaware
Now time has passed
I don't fall for your lies
I can see right through you
With these open eyes
