Favorite Quote:
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. ~T.E. Lawrence

Stone, brick, concrete.
Geometric patterns on a geometric shape
Straight lines, juxtaposed by a doughy face,
That masculine paunch hardly contained by an Oxford shirt,
Suit pants showing socks and ankles
Squeaky leather shoes

Never were there the soft, downy edges,
The soft curl of a flower, touched gently

Sharp corners
Office buildings
Cubicles
Round pencil cup out of place on a rectangular desk
Black and white, pastel and black,
Precise haircut, high and tight.

The feathers of the pigeons swooping by
Soft purring coos
Iridescent plumage among a coat of gray.
Do your work with nagging telephones and disgruntled printers
The softness means nothing.

You’re so architectural.

The author's comments:
I was given a photo in English class of a business man looking at papers with a flock of pigeons at his feet. He paid no mind to the pigeons, but I found it interesting that there was such contrast between the two, but at the same time, a lot of similarities.
