Being Played
I feel like a piano
the bland keys
never moving til told
an outsider is running my life
the fear of thinking for myself angers me
his cold clutching hand is still wrapped around my thoughts
controlling my mind as if hypnotized
I long to be free
to never have to remember the pain
pain of him pressing down and invading my life
a piano that doesn’t work for I am not heard
can you hear what’s not being played?
