a young mother
expecting any day now
prepares her bags alone
love built up inside her heart
broken once before
ready to share it with her new baby
a young mother
eating all alone
looks at the high chair beside her
ready to be a mommy
to be loved by someone again
a young mother
broken and damaged
confused and lost
is ready for her baby to be here
a young mother
driving all alone
into the delivery room she goes
lying in the bed, alone
ready to kiss her beautiful baby
a young mother
strong and independent
holds her sweet blessing
and she isn't alone
she loves once again
