Empty Shell
Depression leaves an empty shell,
suffocating me inside.
I remember my life before,
the empty shell claimed me.
I was happy, witty and loveable.
But now I am a corpse, rotting in my misery,
cranky and unable to think straight.
I miss me,
the smart,funny and confident
girl that loved her life.
Who brought people up, not down.
I was filled with life.
Every object that I touched,
would turn from black and white
to its color bright.
But right now I am a dull, gray, snot ball,
waiting for help.
What I didn’t now is that my help
has been with me always.
Her rainbow had been dimmed,
and her life force fell asleep.
I had just forgot to look inside my self.
