I had a dream last night
You were in it
It was about you
It wasn’t like any dream I have had before

You were perfect
You were you
The real you
Not the you that your friends want you to be
The you that you wanted to be

You are so caught up in what everyone says
It keeps you from loving the ones you truly love
Like me

I had a dream last night
You were in it
It was all about you

When I see you
I think back and realize
It was only a dream
