Train on it's Tracks

When something like this happens

People try to find a reason.

Reasons.

That is

Until we see something,

Hear something,

Or maybe it just hits us.

Like we're walking on train tracks,

Taking a risk we know we shouldn't take.

But we're already there.

Turning back isn't an option anymore.

You just have to keep walking.

Then out of nowhere comes a

Loud,

Overwhelming,

Ineluctable,

Epiphany.

The reason we look for,

Long for,

Ache for,

Lust after,

Pine over,

Yearn

Thirst

Want

Hunger for,

Is something we've wished to overlook.

Because we see it in ourselves.

We've succeeded in ignoring,

Until that train finally hits.

A scary thought:

You have to decide, too.

Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
