Typical Teenage Girl
I’m a typical teenage girl
And I’m always right.
I believe a lot of rumors
And get into many fights.
I follow every popular trend
And send ten thousand texts a day.
I do homework in advisory
And hate how much I weigh.
I’m in love with a new boy every week
And they sometimes break my heart.
I can almost never stand my parents
And I believe I’m incredibly smart.
I stopped going to church after confirmation
And I pretend to like the girls I hate.
When they ask me about their facebook pictures
I lie, and tell them they look great.
I hang out with my own group of friends
And have five different products in my hair.
When something that bothers me happens
I pretend that I don’t care.
I secretly like making others jealous
And I’ve read the Twilight series through Midnight Sun.
When most guys are listening to rap or rock
I listen to the Top 20 on Vh1.
I say what’s on my mind
And my favorite colors pink.
When people snub me I brush it off, but really?
I care what other people think.
Since I’m such a truthful person
I’ll tell you about the girls I detest.
How they act, the things they do…
I wish they could all give it a rest.
One of them can never be wrong.
Another spreads gossip all the time.
The first starts so many conflicts
It should honestly be considered a crime.
A third is never original.
Another never gets off her phone.
This other chick always copies homework.
She has seriously never done it alone.
The sixth is this one girl skinny as a stick
That is constantly complaining about being fat.
Another girl has a different boyfriend every week.
I mean are you kidding how stupid is that?
The eighth wears too much makeup.
To the point where she looks completely fake.
Another pretends rude comments don’t annoy her
Like… come on, give me a break.
The tenth only talks to people in her clique.
The eleventh constantly tells everyone her hearts broken.
Sometimes I want to scream “You’re still alive aren’t you!?”
I guess its good that’s kept unspoken.
The twelfth is rude to her parents.
Another thinks she’s too intelligent to be in school.
The fourteenth never can’t be in the spotlight.
But hey, I guess that’s what it takes to be considered cool.
The fifteenth calls herself “honest”
When she’s just impolite and rude.
Another says she doesn’t care what people think
And pretends she’s always in a good mood.
We all criticize one another for many stupid things
And we personally believe ourselves to be great.
We may not love every aspect of every girl
But the truth is we sometimes are what we hate.
