I Came Outside Today
I've opened my eyes for the first time in a long time.
And who did I see? I saw you.
A smile spread across my face,
And now my sky's are turning blue.
I went outside today and looked up at the sky.
The clouds of gray? All clear.
I sat down in the grass and grinned,
As sunshine cast away all of my fears.
I took a deep breath of the fresh, clean air.
Musky, rainy air? All gone.
The sun beamed down on me,
And the birds tweeted their song.
I've been saved from a black abyss of darkness.
Who was my savior? You.
You've made me see the sunlight.
You're my dream come true.
