In my eyes
The water beneath my feet
The feel of the wind on my face and blowing my hair
The smell of sea salt fills the air
I close my eyes and seal this image tight
My best friend and family by my side does not compare to what I see in your eyes
I feel your presence your very being
Sitting next to me looking out at the endless sea
I rest my head on your shoulder
You wrap your arms around me tight
I feel safe in your arms
You whisper I’ll always be here
I turn red as a rose in the morning dew
I feel the beat of your heart against mine
The way you feel with the ocean mist
I feel the sand beneath my feet as much as I feel your heat
I stare at you
You stare at me
Our eyes looking into each other’s soul
I get up and run, smiling, laughing
You chase after, lift me up and swing me around
You put me down and smile
I smile back
I wrap my arms around your neck
Pull you in and kiss your full lips, soft and warm as a rose petal
Then I wake up and your sleeping next to me
I gaze with intense desire, smile, lay down by your side and go to sleep
