"Hate isn't the opposite of love. Indifference is the opposite of love. Because if you hate, you still care."

Melodies float
Around the room
It's me and you
Plus them, too

We laugh as we dance,
With dips and twirls
You spin me in
Because I'm the only girl

You pull me in close
We're less than inches apart
For a split-second,
Sparks ignite in my heart

Lightning shoots through my veins
As our eyes lock
The who room goes quiet
I know later they'll talk

I pull away now
This can't really ever be
There's too many complications
Too many insecurities

The rest of the night,
I don't look at you the same
My playful flirting
Is no longer a game

I'm not sure what too do
I'm no longer at peace
I'm now haunted by the sparks
And my insecurities

Sometimes we build up walls, not to keep people out; but to see who cares enough to break them down.

i think it was fine, so chill out!

All gave some, some gave all. -War Veterans headstone.

The word insecurites seems a little over used in this poem.  I know you only used twice and for the title which gives it a more amteur feel to it.  I like the rest of it though.
