Raindrop
One raindrop
Drying too fast
Its purpose lost
In a stream of desperate cries
Wanting to become a member
Of the beautiful community
Known as the sea
It wants to flow among the others,
With the others
Or maybe even ahead of the others.
Yet it sits on the sidewalk
Drying under the heat
Of the morning
Transforming into only a moist
Spot on the gravel
With no chance of ever experiencing
Its dream
Because it allowed itself to dry
Too fast.
