Part of my past
Who are you?
What happened to the girl I used to know?
The one I used to call my best friend..
Or wait..were you ever really my friend?
It’s the memories that hurt the most
Like how we texted 24/7
About anything and everything
Or how you were always at my house
Or the nights that hold all our secrets together
Do you remember any of that?
Or do you pretend it never happened?
We had a bond I thought would never break
I trusted you-you were like my sister, my partner in crime
I miss you-the old you
But things have changed
And with each day that passes we talk less;
To where now we barely talk at all except to say
Hi when we pass in the hallways
You replaced me
And as much as it hurts me
It’s for the better
