Heartbreak

By a world of steel knives,
Haunted for the rest of our lives,
Where it never, takes FLIGHT,
And blatantly ignores our plight,
It bleeds and breaks
And never ceases to Ache-
As each small, insignificant minute ticks by,
It’s all we can DO-to not ask WHY.
The bottomless abyss,
Destroys all that we wish,
But time will eventually heal the wound
Maybe not now, maybe not soon
