Green is the color of grass
Or so I've been told

Blue is the color of the sky
Yeah, yeah, I've heard that one before

And this
This shirt I wear today
Why, it's yellow

I already know
And the sun is yellow too

And this, this is new
I don't know what color it may be
Nor that or this or you

Don't ask me what color this is or that
This game is getting old and I'm tired of playing

So what?
I don't know what color your hair is or her eyes or his shirt
Do you think I care?

I'm exhausted you guys
Please give me a break, at least for today

Stop taunting me and stop calling me names
How do you think I feel not getting to see
to see the things you all get to see

For one day I would love to switch eyes with you
Then you would understand

Because you don't know what it's like to have to memorize
Oh, how I memorize each word to a different color
A color I do not know

What is color except for a word?
A big useless word
Another thing I have to grow up memorizing

This is blue...
This is green....
This here is brown....
And this is red...

I like it. It's from a very awesome perspective. I've never thought about how people who can't see color go through life. it was definately an eye opener. Keep writing. Good luck and good thoughts!
