Move On
You don’t know what you got ‘til it’s gone
That’s what a wise man once said to me
I used to have you by my side
When things were wrong you made them right
But now it feels like I’m in the dark at times
Don’t know how to find the light
We split up at that fork
Somehow we got left behind
The road bent and I got turned around
Now I’ve lost what I had barely found
I keep on looking back
But I still feel blind
I keep hoping that
The truth I’ll find
Because something went wrong
And I don’t know why
Something went bad
We both got mad
And said some things
We never should have said
But we need to move, on move past
Cuz history is dead
I’m not asking for forever
I’m asking to make things right
Time can’t be changed
But we can fix our mistakes
Do you really want to lose everything we had?
Didn’t the good outweigh the bad?
How can you say we can’t be friends?
When we both know we should
