Calling card
The air is bleak, and the sky black.
I creep like the creepers.
Please come back.
He tinkers and twiddles his fingers,
Like a mindless monkey.
Over me you chose a fool, and with him comes foolish things.
Does he know you?
I know your faces, you have many.
In my book I keep the tallies.
My thoughts flux from me, breaking their ties.
I walk on cold rooftops, down dark allies.
To forget the warmth of your smile, and the light of your eyes.
It was just pretend, and you are a pretender.
I fall into my folly.
To you I'm just the next notch.
I buckle at the knees, torn apart.
The crowd utters with it's eyes, and I watch.
"Her calling card is a broken heart."
