Dreamers must
Be masochists, for they're
Ever creating new heights they will never
Reach,
Building up worlds that
Inevitably fall.
But dreamers have some things
A practical man will never enjoy.
Inspiration; perspective; depth; and towers that bring them
Nearer to God, if only to
End in idealistic rubble.

The author's comments:
I wrote this after reading "The Lesson of the Moth," a poem by Don Marquis. I encourage you to look it up - mine can't compare.
