Favorite Quote:
"Just a small town girl/ living in a lonely world/ took a midnight train/ going anywhere."
-Journey

He touched me like
an angel,
soaring down from the clouds.
Though his wings merely
brushed me,
I am forever impacted.
His kindness was
unending,
never waiting for a reason why.
His face was
ever-smiling
never once turning to a frown.
Ryan touched me like
an angel,
soaring down from the clouds.

He was here.
Now he is gone.
But, forever, he will
be an angel.
My angel.

The author's comments:
There's a boy in my class who had a little brother. Had. Past tense. He died when he was second grade. He had Ewing's Sarcoma. He had his leg amputated when he was two, and the disease seemed to have gone away for six years, but it came back, and he died a couple of months before he turned eight. The whole school misses him, and I wrote this poem as a memorial to him.
