Water
Smell the brine of the sea,
Hear the cry of the gull,
Feel the grit of the sand,
See the gold of the sun.
Time passes,
And water wears away the stone,
It carves,
Like a knife,
Into the flesh of the earth,
Scarring,
Yet making beautiful.
Rivers flow,
They move,
And shift,
Twist,
And turn,
And change,
They rush,
And they dash against the stones.
Water shapes,
It makes the world what it is.
