Open book

When I open a book
I am no longer a normal citizen
my courage is unlimited.
In the stories I beat the bad guys
and bring peace to the land.
But when the book is done
and reality sets back in
I remember the courage
of my fellow book charters.
And when life is hard
I will remember the words
that my hero's have said and
strive to be as strong as them.
So books up lift me
when I'm down.
Make me laugh,cry and rejoice.
Give me the comfort that I seek
