"They can't scare me, if I scare them first." -Lady Gaga
&
"I remember watching the mascara tears flood the ivories and I thought, "It's OK to be sad." I've been trained to love my darkness." -Lady Gaga

As I watch the sun stain upon
The grassy meadows of red kisses
It is not the dawn that sparks the darkness,
Or the twilight that recalls a witness.

Based upon my very account
I sing the lyrics of my own demise,
The emptiness that hollows throughout me
Is the emptiness that sparkles the stars within my eyes

With a bottle in hand,
It is I that drowns,
Sinking upon the devious current of my own impossible equation
It is of my knowledge that once a pain, there follows a high,
As there'd be no sober for it weren't for intoxication

And staring throughout the lens of my very internationalizes,
Only I have the power to conduct a poem of amiss,
I write now with only little intention
And be one writer, I take another sip
Soaking within a raspberry kiss.

This poem, written from the very bottom of my heart, is a poem for which is based upon the use of alcohol in order to cope with issues. hope you all enjoy.

Now Cinderella don't you go to sleep, it's such a bitter form of refuge, oh don't you know the kingdom's under siege, and everbody needs you. - The Killers

This is such a great poem, when I saw the title I wasn't sure what I would be reading... but this is truly amazing. I think that you really captured the use of alcohol as a coping technique and for that I commend you! Great work, truly. Think maybe you could check out mine sometime?

"A guy walks up to me and asks 'What's Punk?'. So I kick over a garbage can and say 'That's punk!'. So he kicks over a garbage can and says 'That's Punk'?, and I say 'No that's trendy'!"- Billie Joe Armstrong, Green Day

As someone who is straightedge (I don't smoke or drink or anything like that, and never will) I can definitely relate to this piece as an outsider watching people I know drink themselves to death out of their own unhappiness and leading to only more unhappiness.
