What Lies In The Darkness

I struggle daily
Constantly battling the darkness
I give my all so I am not consumed
I need to be the light that can pierce through the dark
I will keep fighting until this battle is over and I've won
I shall defend the weak
And fight for what is right
No matter what lies in the darkness
Whispering in my ears
