The Sun
The Sun
As it rises you think of your day.
It hangs in the air by all mountains, seas, and bays.
As it descends many grow tire,
and they lay in their bed ready to retire.
It seems as if it’s so close, yet so far,
seen by all planets, Pluto, Earth, and Mars.
Burning at all times, day and night,
Acts almost like Earth's natural light.
It is impossible to touch, yet it touches you.
Floating in the sky surrounded by blue.
You can't feel, or even shoot it with a gun,
the thing that runs our solar system, that thing is the sun.
