A knot forms in my stomach
It twists and bends snaking
Its way to my thoughts
I lie down
Trying to relax
Untangle the knot
It is no use
Streams of what’s to come filter in
Past memories come back
All haunting
The Cauldron of my stomach
Bubbles and fizzes.
Slooshes and sloshes
Until finally
It is time.
