The Beach at Night

The snow dissolved into the water
as if it were not there.
The moon hit the water,
making it look like the water was glowing.
Then from nowhere a pebble strikes the water,
leaving little ripples indenting the surface.
The night moves on and wind kicks in.
Waves are thrashing up onto the shore.
Creatures hide safely in their habitats.
Soon sunrise glistens on the water.
