Run The Extra Mile
Though to your eyes you cannot see it
Me and him
We have been through more then a little bit
He was there
The first time I fell in love and he watched me smile
Because it was with him
For me he said, he'd always run the extra mile
Harmless banter
Leads to consequences they told me
They were right
It's not the way it seems they said he
Loved another girl
When we pass each other, we still hug and smile
Because like before
For me he said, he'd always run the extra mile
That love of his
Came to an end in the green, green spring
Back to before
My thoughts told me, because in my head I could hear bells ring
Of coarse there is
Something to be said for the past
It lies a lot
When he kissed me that night, it was our first and last
My voice still shakes
He looked down to me and gave one last smile
Because of him
I will never run the extra mile

This happens way to much in real life, so why not write about it?
