Butterflies the Color of Sunlight
Didn't I tell you
Or was that a lie
I'm the confused one
Because
Well I don't really know
Whoever said
That life would make sense
That person
Maybe that person was you
But if it was
Then you didn't realize
That my life is mine and you haven't read every page
I don't think I've even finished the book
Perhaps I should
Before I go making presumptions
But
I don't know what I wanted anymore
I don't remember where I thought I was going
Somewhere that isn't here
Where butterflies are the color of sunlight
And daisies don't bend with the wind
I think I should cry again
And fall into someone else's arms
Mine aren't open
And neither are yours
