"If you don't leap you'lll never know what it's like to fly"

I am a coordinated gymnast who loves the rush of tumbling and flipping
I wonder how my team will do at our meets this year
I hear the slaps of wrist on the uneven parallel bars and the deep breaths of gymnasts hard at work
I see the fear but also a rush of excitement in their eyes
I want them and I to stick our landings and accomplish new skills
I am a coordinated gymnast who loves the rush of tumbling and flipping

I pretend that I'm not afraid even though most of the time I really am
I feel a rush of excitement when I go for a new challenging skill
I touch the hearts of my team mates and encourage and cheer them on
I worry that I'm not good enough to do gymnastics
I cry when I have a hard time getting a skill and try to hold in my tears and stay strong when I've fallen to the ground
I am a coordinated gymnast who loves the rush of tumbling and flipping

I understand that it takes practice to get a skill perfect and that I can't get a new skill on my first try
I say practice makes perfect
I dream of winning first place at my state meet
I try to make everyday of gym fun and worthwhile
I hope I never give up on my passion and will stick it out everyday even when the going gets tough
I am a coordinated gymnast who loves the rush of tumbling and flipping

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.

Dream like you will live forever, live like you will die today.

I love this! I'm a gymnast too (although by the sound of it not as good as you are) and it makes so much sense. Sometimes in poetry wordiness doesn't work but for this it does!
