Sinking
I’m drowning,
in a sea of faces
distorted with emotion.
Save for my own,
a hardened stone,
it reveals nothing of my shattered heart.
Why am I always wrong?
Where did everyone go?
What would they even do?
Those friends I thought I knew,
just turn a blind eye,
and walk away.
I’m on my own.
helplessly flailing
No one can understand.
No one offers a hand.
I’m left to fall,
Alone.
