Sight
Even when the world’s alight
What are we without our sight?
It’s as if the flame is out
With what are we to see with?
The days are gone, and time flies by
Yet here we are, and with our cry
We are blinded, sight withdrawn
With what are we to see with?
Who can help us but ourselves?
Yet our eyes sit on our shelves
We can’t see, yet help another
So what are we to see with?
Earth is burning, time is turning
And we sit here with no yearning
For the sight of which has left us
Searching, searching for our souls
