Thinking of you
I’m sitting by the window thinking of you,
the trees and grass covered in snow.
The days go by faster and faster;
there is no knowing of what time it is.
a knock on the door one, two and three,
my throat is dry no words can escape.
The space around me seems to shrink, but
I take no notice for I keep thinking of you.
A dark room behind me and a sky of dark blue,
for the stars don’t even shine today,
it is winter again and I can feel the cold air seeping through the window biting my hands,
it’s getting harder and harder as I try to write,
the little light I had once is gone,
the darkness seems to win this round,
but only I know that when once you come back around,
the light will shine again.
