A Lost Steering Wheel MAG

Before I stepped off
of that
sidewalk,
straight down to
black top, you brushed
my hand.
In the median
I glanced over
my shoulder.
Why
weren't you
there?
A face
unfamiliar.
A hand
grasping
mine.
Different feelings.
A whole new
world.
Why weren't you
in it?
Guidance's absence
I
found my own way.
And at the
end
of this maze,
Will you be there?

I am blown away by your ability to take such a tragic time and pose it briefly, in such simple but powerful questions. such a consistent voice; i'm sorry...i hope your few but telling words were cathartic for you in some way
