Residue In The Sky
The night sky is dark and thick,
Cloudless, cold air emits.
But in the shadows I see a streak.
A streak, not of light, but very sleak.
The sun has left a residue in the sky,
I ponder and smile as I ask myself why?
Long after the light has gone,
still a small line is left 'til the next break of dawn.
God has left this gift in the night,
To remind us of His great might.
