"If they give you ruled paper, write the other way." ~Juan Ramon Jimenez

Exiled
I am alone
Where did my dreams and hopes go?
They are nothing more
A memory lost in an hourglass
Of time
My family and friends
They received no good-bye.
My treasures a ghost
For them to remember me by.
Tears of pain and loneliness
My never forsaking friends
The open sky is my roof
The cold barren earth
My bed
The birds trill
My song
The whispering wind
My breath
Exiled
I am alone
