How I Loved You
Legs shaking, heart breaking:
You look at me,
as I gaze at you--
those blue eyes enchant me.
And that skin,
that perfectly clear skin
that's soft to the touch--
I get the goosebumps
when you brush against me.
And that voice,
that deep baritone voice
that's smooth like a clarinet--
I get the butterflies
when you speak my name.
But it'll never happen:
I gaze at you,
as you look at me--
legs shaking, heart breaking.
