Candy Cane
The sugary smell of swinging sweets
Fills the air
Like a thick haze
The stringes of sugary goodness
Dangle,
Like a string as the cool.
They start to harden;
Turning into red iceacules.
The workers soft hands break the bond
Between metal and sugar crystal.
And in the end
The long red rods
Get packed into their wrappers.
Off they go
All clean and crisp
To fill the day with happiness.
