Lost in the Darkness

In the darkness I swiftly move through the woods searching for your hand.
I find you, hold you, and together we are band.
Farther and farther we run, searching for the light, but what we find is darker than night.
I try to pull you in tighter only to find that you are gone.
That is when I realize that I've been alone all along.
